Resort-style Accommodation for Onslow Iron

One of the hottest topics in Australian mining in 2023 was Mineral Resource’s announcement of the groundbreaking resort-style accommodation coming to their Onslow Iron project.

Yes, what you’re looking at is a real image of the rooms putting every other mining camp to shame, the first of which are now occupied by couples at the Ken’s Bore village. The 45sqm pods open to a spacious living area featuring a flat screen TV with video call function, lounge, and dining table. The stone benchtop kitchenette and ample storage sit neatly nearby, along with the pièce de résistance queen size bed. In the rear, an ensuite complete with washer and dryer means you’ve everything you need after a long day’s work.

Known for their reputation of serving up impressive food, the à la carte and alfresco dining will be interesting to stickybeak on social media.

What about socialising, you ask? Of course, how could we forget the private balcony area with electric BBQ. Wander through the landscaped village to the swimming pool, stretch your muscles at the indoor fitness centre, grab some mates for a ball game on the courts or sports field, or unwind at the cinema.

Facilities management is run in-house by Mineral Resources, compared to the usual outsourcing to companies such as Sodexo or Compass Group. Guest safety is assured with enhanced security and CCTV.

It’s obvious that a holistic approach to health and wellness of their employees is a top priority for the Mineral Resources team.
