MINING INSIGHTS
FIFO PACKING LIST
One of the most popular questions seen on social media mining groups!
Most mining operations are at remote locations - this means you may be able to buy a few items in the camp shop, however some sites may not even have these at all. For those lucky enough working nearby to “residential” towns, grocery shops are a luxury. Most sites will provide things like washing powder, linen and soap - think about what you may expect in a hotel room, otherwise reach out to the admin/mobilisation team with any questions.
We can really recommend packing a few items to help make your room feel a little cosier. Things like your own pillow/pillowcase, photos of loved ones or a memento.
After your first swing, you’ll know exactly what you need. We’ve prepared a list of essentials below, to ensure you’re not caught out.
